Geneva – The European capital for NGOs and United Nations

Geneva is the second largest city in Switzerland behind Zurich, and the most international city in Europe with over 40% of its population coming from outside Switzerland.

The city was chosen for its central location and excellent flight and other transport links, helping to minimise both visitor and exhibitor budgets.

Geneva is home to the world’s highest concentration of international organisations and diplomatic missions, such as the World Health Organization, UN European Headquarters, International Red Cross, ILO, ITU, CERN among others, but also 750 non-governmental organisations as well as over 250 permanent missions and more than 900 multinational companies.
