UN Brussels Auction at AidEx

We will be bringing an exciting new feature to AidEx 2020 in the form of an auction run in collaboration with UNHCR Global Fleet Management – Supply Management Services.

This is the perfect opportunity to raise useful funds for your organisation by selling surplus equipment and material when you have reached the end of a project, plus it is an excellent opportunity to increase exposure of your products.

There is currently a growing market for auctioned assets in the aid and development sector, which make it likely a sale will be secured at a good price. UNHCR is the leading agency offering disposals services to other UN agencies and Humanitarian organisations around the globe with more than 100 auction events every year in more than 70 countries.

The auction will take place on November 19 from 10:30:12:30 at Brussels Expo and will be held in a dedicated area in the heart of the exhibition. We estimate that there will be up to 40 different lots for sale and audience presence of around 70 interested buyers. The auction will also be streamed live online.

The auctioneer is LEILOSOC Market Partners® a leader in Portugal and present in 167 countries, spread over 4 geographical areas - Europe, Africa, America and Asia. To date, the auctioneer has served the UN well because it complies with the highest corporate standards regarding responsibility, transparency and social performance.

It is the 1st company in the sector with a certified management system (ISO 9001 - 2008) and the 1st to successfully transition to (ISO 9001 - 2015). LEILOSOC Market Partners® is licensed to carry out the Auction activity, with the Directorate-General for Economic Activities, in accordance with Decree-Law No. 155/2015 of 10 August.

What are the advantages of selling assets at auction?

The main benefit of selling assets at this auction is that it will be an additional exposure of your key and strategic products to a larger audience than the visitors to your stand.

AidEx will bring a number of key buyers interested in the exhibition and this number will be boosted by the UN and online marketing presence for the virtual element of the event.

Selling like this also represents a good way to sell more unusual assets. All items to be sold must be located in the EU, so that with purchases being made in Brussels, there are no additional taxes to pay.
