Ken Ogendo is a Public Health Specialist and programmes manager with over 11 years technical and operational experience in Public Health particularly Community Health programs including maternal health and reproductive health, child health and WASH ultimately contributing to strengthening health systems within the preventive health realms. He has led Operations Research in Community Health and built disaster preparedness and response mechanisms as well as disease surveillance under Ebola and now Covid 19. Ken O has a knack for applying Human Centered Design, developing and designing Behavior Change and Communication ( BCC) strategies for a wide spectrum of audiences in matters Public Health. He has been a champion and advocate for Community Health through partnerships and business development through Inter Agency Coordination Committees and Technical working Groups.
He has significantly contributed to the development of Community Health Policies and Strategies as well as capacity building through designing technical modules for CHWs in Kenya including the Community Health Information (CHIS) MOH Tools. At Living Goods, he has been driving the capacity building agenda for Community Health in the RMNCH space and digitizing the community health components through the conceptualization of Electronic Community Health Information Systems (ECHIS), mentorship and coaching of staff. Currently he strategically and technically leads the health interventions together with a high performing team in the Health and Impact department to reduce maternal and child health morbidities and mortalities. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Strathmore University with a focus on Community Health.
