Geoff headshotDr Geoff Brighty is Managing Director of Environmental Sustainability Associates. He has over 35 years-experience in policy, strategy, science and operations in environmental pollution and management, including: waste, plastics, water, endocrine disruption and ecotoxicology, climate change and flood risk.
He has worked in public, private and NGO sectors, is a published scientist with high-impact papers and reports, and consults into the waste reprocessing industry. He developed the research programme for plastic waste management and circular economy in Malaysia - PREEVENT-Malaysia - and is conducting a similar development programme in the Lebanon. Geoff served for 7 years as Technical Director at UK’s first plastic pollution charity, Plastic Oceans, and was technical lead for the charity’s highly acclaimed film A Plastic Ocean. He is chair of the UK Plastic Pact group on Non-Mechanical Recycling.
