LifeSaver unveils its new mass water purification product at AidEx 2018.
Last week in Brussels at AidEx, Icon LifeSaver launched its latest mass water purification product; the C1. The new LifeSaver C1 is a game changer with its design to deliver mass purification for larger communities in a more practical and portable package. Combining the mass water purification capabilities of the product’s predecessor, the C2 with the simplicity and efficiency of the brand’s consumer products, the new C1 can produce up to 500,000 litres of safe drinking water at the turn of a tap. For remote communities or crises in need of rapid humanitarian intervention, it offers a life-saving solution.
Compact and extremely portable, the C1 is easily shipped and installed, making it perfect, even for the most remote communities. Designed to provide clean drinking water in large volumes, the simplicity of this space-saving design makes it a practical solution that is both easy to connect and install.
Ideally suited for connecting to a water storage tank or untrustworthy municipal piped supplies, it simply requires water to be stored at a height of 2 metres to generate enough pressure for the dirty water to pass through the enormous ultra-filtration cartridge. This will remove 99.9999% bacteria, 99.99% of cysts and 99.99% of viruses, enabling safe drinking water where it isn’t readily available. Alternatively, it is also possible to connect the C1 to a pressurised municipal feed or even a water pump, where sufficient pressure can be used.
Just one LifeSaver C1 could provide a community of 100 people daily drinking water for up to four and a half years at a negligible cost.
