Parvin NgalaParvin is currently the Regional Director (Interim) for Oxfam International Horn East and Central Africa (HECA) region. She has also held other positions in the region, as the Regional Head of Programmes and before that the Regional WASH Advisor. She also covered a regional portfolio in the Southern Africa region with Oxfam.

Parvin has worked in the humanitarian and development field for over 20 years managing multi-sectoral, multi-country programmes at national level in Africa (Sudan, Kenya, Zimbabwe) and South - East Asia (Bangladesh, Iran) and regionally for Southern Africa and Horn, East and Central Africa regions. Other agencies she has worked with over the course of her career include CARE, Welthungerhilfe, World Vision and UNHCR.

Parvin holds a M.Sc. Water and Environmental Management from Loughborough University in the UK and is passionate about working with communities to develop innovative solutions that contribute to transformative resilience.
